Our school is a happy and hard working community in which everyone is encouraged to play a full and important part.

Our average class size is 14 and we have an overall pupil to teacher ratio of 1:12. Classes in the Infants and Juniors are limited to 16. Year groups in the Middles and Seniors may average 26 - 28. These are then taught in two ability groups thus maintaining our small class sizes. Bowbrook's strength lies in its size. It allows the staff to be aware of the potential and the needs of each individual. This 'personalised' approach enables all pupils to flourish. We are large enough to compete and to challenge, yet small enough to care.

In an atmosphere which is friendly but firm, good manners are deemed to be of great importance. We strive to achieve from pupils their maximum effort in all they attempt, whatever level of ability they have.

We hope that all pupils have a feeling of belonging and pride in their school. So when they leave us, they do so with the confidence to adapt to any new situation and with the fundamental values of working hard and having respect for others.

I would welcome the opportunity to meet you and your child and show you our school in operation.
