Bowbrook House School has a very active Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) which fundraises throughout the school year in achieving targets and goals from which all the children gain. They continue to drive to raise funds for 'luxuries' to the curriculum experience. |

| Fundraising |
As you can imagine, the funds needed for our projects are not small and we anticipate the fundraising efforts to continue into the foreseeable future. This is why we hold a major fundraising event per term and encourage as many parents as possible to participate. Whilst we understand that each event may be not be "everyone's cup of tea", we ask parents for feedback on events and welcome the ideas that are put forward to us. We are, after all, a small number of parents representing the larger element! |
During 2008/09 the monies raised by the PTA was £9,608.19; out of this we provided the children in the school with:- |
£ | |
Athletics Vests | 389.80 |
Interactive Whiteboards | 5,892.60 |
CD Writer - French Department | 387.49 |
Art Department | 1,915.42 |
Microphones for 'Oliver!' | 352.34 |
Display Board | 691.12 |
Music Manual - Music Department | 35.00 |
We also raise money for other charities and good causes. The Barn Dance, held in July, is a good example of how the events we run are important to our efforts because, as well as having a good time, we were able to raise £2,303.93! Out of this sum, we made donations of £500 each to the Acorns Hospice and Peopleton Church. |
